On May 1, 2023, the fashion world was excited as the biggest event of the year was Met Gala 2023. With a theme of “Karl Lagerfeld, A Line of Beauty,” this event was one to remember! All eyes were on the A-listers who graced the red carpet in their stunning designer outfits and accessories, paying homage to the legendary fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. Celebs got creative, choosing ensembles containing Karl’s signature in fashion: tweeds, pearls, bows, and more. The star-studded red carpet was full of surprises and jaw-dropping fashion moments that we will remember in the years to come.

Gigi Hadid Was the Showstopper of the Met Gala 2023! 

Gigi Hadid stole the show in a stunning sheer gown at the May red carpet event. Her dress was complemented by an extended light train and glam gloves in honor of the legendary designer. Her custom Givenchy gown, half-up wavy hairstyle, bright feminine makeup, pearls, and diamonds adorning her ears, wrists, and neck made her seem incredibly stunning. Of course, it’s hardly surprising, given that Gigi was known for being one of the best-dressed attendees in Met Gala history. 

Billie Eilish’s Punk Ensemble Was Strong & Feminine

Gigi Hadid was not the only one in a sheer lace gown stepping into the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Billie Eilish was the next superstar wearing a transparent dress with a long train. Her ensemble with a custom Simone Rocha dress embellished with silver stones, sheer long gloves, high stockings, and platform stilettos, all in black and long hair trailing over her shoulder, was evocative of the punk style that Karl brought to famous fashion houses.

Thus, Doja Cat appeared in a silver gown featuring cat ears and facial prosthetics. Her dress also had a long, ruffled train embellished with jewelry. What’s more, she was mewing here and there.

Rihanna Made a Late Entrance in a Floral Masterpiece

On the most significant fashion night, Rihanna exceeded all expectations by appearing in a long-trained white gown that closed a lot of steps. First, the pregnant superstar wowed the masses with her oversized white floral details; secondly, she wore white sunglasses with long lashes; and last, she wore her signature red lipstick. Riri is really a showstopper with her unique interpretation of the style.
